Adoption Day – Meeting her new family !
Lovely to hear how Lola (was Gemini) is settling in with her new family….
‘Just thought I’d drop you an email to say how well Lola is doing. She’s so calm and placid and has really made herself at home already – in fact on her walk she knew exactly the way home and even turned into our drive unprompted. She’s sleeping through the night fine with very little whimpering when we put her to bed and no accidents. We’re still having the odd puddle in the day but she’s getting better – we’re taking her out regularly but she holds on for so long and I think we then miss her cues.
She’s got such a lovely sweet nature and goes round collecting towels and anything soft to make her den in the corner – the only trouble is her favourite things to steal are shoes so we’ve had to hide them all away from her.
A bizarre coincidence – we got chatting to a lady on the beach this morning who straightaway recognized Lola was a labradoodle like her dog. It turns out she also got hers from you 6 yrs ago!!!
The kids absolutely love her and she’s bonded really well with them already.
